It has been ten years Vangelis’ last studio CD, “L’Apocalypse Des Animaux” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is so much to love about Vangelis, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. For older fans L’Apocalypse Des Animaux will put a massive smile accross your face. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Vangelis ever.
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Le Singe Bleu is the song that really did it for me. La Mort Du Loup is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. L’Ours Musicien had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Creation Du Monde has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Vangelis’s strong vocals come to the fore. You have to get essence of the La Mer Recommeencee’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece.
