It has been eleven years Victor Manuel’ last studio CD, “En directo” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. This is my first Victor Manuel Album and i must say i am blown away.
Asturias is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after En directo have ended. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Victor Manuel. Listening to Carta de un minero a Manuel Llaneza you can hear that Victor Manuel has still amazing chemistry with band members. El viejo coronel has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Victor Manuel’s strong vocals come to the fore. La cancion del oro very upbeat. Por eso estoy aqui - Victor Manuel first major hit. This track is clearly meant to showcase Victor Manuel’s vocal abilities. Que sera que todos piden is probably the most interesting track on En directo. Victor Manuel is hitting on all cylinders in Soy de Espaca.
