There is so much to love about Victor Manuel, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is the first studio album from Victor Manuel since bad diagnosis in 1978. Lead single “Balada para Cabiria” and “Canciyn de la esperanza” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album is awesome.
Canciyn de la esperanza can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Victor Manuel is all about. Cuelebre is another strong production from Victor Manuel. Digo amor y digo libertad - This one makes me want to not only sing along. El nico que volaba is astounding song though, very addictive. Eran dos nicos is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Once you hear Hace tres acos que he vuelto, you will listen to it over and over. Pablo y Juana is a medium tempo tune. Solo pienso en ti is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Soy un corazyn tendido al sol is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
