Village People was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Village People and San Francisco and Macho Man together. Since Village People last CD (San Francisco and Macho Man) on Sparrow Records back in 1979, I have felt a massive void in my life. Lead single “San Francisco (You’ve Got Me)” and “In Hollywood (Everybody Is A Star)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IT makes me wanna dance!
The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Opening track Fire Island shows the best of Village People. Village People - I just love it. I have all of Village People’s tracks and Macho Man is probably the most his introspective effort. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is I Am What I Am. Key Wesy is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in San Francisco and Macho Man. Once Sodom And Gommorrah gets in your head, it will NEVER leave.
