After seeing Black Market, I had to have a good Weather Report cd. While no new Weather Report album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1976 tour in South America. There is so much to love about Weather Report, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Weather Report “Black Market” is an amazing album.
After you’ve listened to Cannon Ball, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. All of songs on Black Market and have something to say letting alone Gibraltar. Elegant People is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Weather Report has astounded me with this amazing track. Barbary Coast is so unique, as each one of the songs is. No Weather Report song has come close to capturing my attention as Herandnu did.
