IF YOU LIKE ALL Zoot Sims with Joe Pass’S SONG GO FOR IT! Blues for Two isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. ‘Blues for Two’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Dindi - To me, this is the best song on the Blues for Two. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Poor Butterfly one is one of the better boring ones. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Listening to I Hadn’t Anyone Till You you can hear that Zoot Sims with Joe Pass has still amazing chemistry with band members. I was truly moved when I heard Takeoff. Remember is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
